To start off with, I opened my face book page this morning to see a you tube video about our recent snow fall. It snowed here in South Carolina on Tuesday. This is Friday and the snow is still on the ground for the most part.I would say, we had about three inches total.And the tempos have been above freezing during the day. The sun has been shinning on this snow. But it just don't seem to be going away. I didn't pay this any attention at all until i watches this you tube video.

Then I started checking out more on you tube. There is actually quite a few of these videos. from all over the east coast. So Marty and I get some snow from the yard and some thick frost from inside to door of our ice maker. The Ice maker ice melted right away.The snow did not melt.And it had a funny smell as it was burning. Almost a synthetic smell. Why? Is this normal? As I have never tried to melt snow with a cigarette lighter before.But now, Looking back on the way this snow fall occurred. Some of the events were strange. The weather reported that the snow would start to fall around two pm on Tuesday.As it started to snow, My son and I made a joke about how accurate they were as it was exactly two pm on the nose.They said it would stop around eleven. Guess what. It stopped at exactly eleven pm. Strange? But not just that. The flakes stayed the exact same size through out the snow fall.They did not vary to the large flakes that we usually get mixed in. And the snowfall stayed at the same pace. It did not taper off, then start back as is usual for snow fall. It stayed at the exact same pace through out the day.Every time we would look outside it was just as before. Same size, same pace.Now, as i said, some is starting to melt i guess, as we are getting spots in the yard. BUT, it is NOT melting from the trees or roof. We have absolutely no dripping.By now, you would hear the melting snow dripping all over the place. And you would hear as chunks break free from the roof and slide off. We have nothing. Total silence outside. Do you find this as strange as i do?
