I know it's been a few days since I have posted, but a lot has been going on so let me get you caught up.
For starters, the whole family has had a terrible cold. It acts like the flu, but isn't the full blown flu. Body aches, sore throat, stuffy and runny nose, cough and general fatigue. Chris had it first, then Marty a few days later, then Cari, then T-Bomb then myself, so far, Koda-Bug is doing good. I just hope we can all get over this stuff soon. It has been a big pain in the butt. Luckily, Honey and Lemon is working wonders so maybe it will help us get past this pretty quickly.
A few days ago, Marty was cooking dinner and he was melting some cheese in the microwave.T-Bomb walked past him going down the hall he got half way down the hall he stopped, and turned around saying "Papa don't follow"... then he saw Marty was still at the microwave and he just stopped talking and walked on into his bedroom. So he felt something following him down the hall and thought it was his Papa.We all talked about this later, It could have just been nothing. But we all agreed to start watching him a bit closer.
Since the weather has been turning cooler, we all like to take a cup of coffee and sit out on the front porch in the late afternoon.T-bomb loves this time as he gets to run all over the front yard. Yesterday Marty, Cari and I had been sitting out on the porch when Cari decided to come in and put some Pizza's in the oven for dinner. A bit later, I came in to get more coffee, Just as I walked into the kitchen with Cari, Chris's smallest Jack Russell Terrier took one look at me and went nuts! He was barking and growling just past my right shoulder. This little dog was going nuts! Just then a bolt of fear shot through my body. This dog does not usually act this way at all especially toward the family. He then turned and ran down the hall to Chris and Cari's bedroom still barking and growling. Something had scared him to death. Cari and I looked at each other like what just happened here. I could still hear Harley having a fit so I went down the hall to check on him. About that time Chris walked out of their room carrying a very disturbed Harley. The dog looked at me and started all over again barking, growling and trembling! It took Chris and I both a while to get him calmed down. Chris finally put him in my arms after he had stopped barking and he was licking my face and wagging his tail like he normally would.I have no clue what this was about. But, I had been sitting on my front porch reading a Paranormal book on my tablet just before I walked into the house.
Last week Marty and I had gone to do some shopping and Cari was cleaning the house. She had asked Chris to take some table scraps outside to the woods to dump them out for our little Red Fox that comes to eat.He grabbed the bowl and headed up the trail in the backyard to the woods. He said just as he started up this trail, when he saw something big and dark walking on all fours to his right, he could see the hair and thought it was a bear, so he turned and went back inside. That evening, we decided to take some of our equipment up there to see if we could capture anything with the trail cam or audio.I was outside waiting on the rest of the family when I heard a huge tree knock! I told them to hurry up, and we all headed quickly up the trail. We were hearing the footsteps crunching on the leaves but we couldn't see anything through the thick vegetation.. We were scanning the trees to our right when a deer came running from the trees out into the clearing where we stood. It just bolted past us like we weren't even there! I would have loved to stay and listen to see if we heard anything further, but as luck would have it, I went into a coughing fit at this point and probably ran off anything that was within a twenty mile radius! We went ahead and set up the trail cam and audio. Sadly, nothing was captured except for images of the Red Fox eating the table scraps.
