That was strange...

I am always the first person up around here. Dealing with chronic pain really messes with my sleep patterns. Once I wake up and feel that pain in my back and legs there is just no way to get comfortable enough to fall back asleep. But that has nothing to do with this, right.

My normal routine is to get up, and go to the bathroom. My little Pit female gets up and we go down the hall together. I let her out the back door on my right and I go into the bathroom on my left.I come out of the bathroom, I open the back door, Amy comes in and we walk up the hall together. I turn on the coffee and sit down at my computer as it brews. I  had been sitting there a while when I heard the toilet lid drop closed and the toilet flushed. From where I sat, I could turn around and see down the hall. I expected to see Chris or Cari come out of the bathroom, but there was no one there. I felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up and a very uneasy feeling came across me. I was so creeped out that I considered waking Marty up to come sit with me. But I went back to focusing on my computer and shook it off.

The next morning (yesterday actually.) I had gotten up. followed my routine and was sitting at my computer when Marty got up. It was strange to have him join me so early, but he claimed he couldn't sleep.Considering the morning I had a day earlier, I was glad to have his company. As we both sat with our coffee reading the morning news on line we heard someone tap on our kitchen window. My mom and Marty's brother have been know to do this on occasion. Our kitchen window is right by the front door, so they tap instead of knocking so as not to wake up any kids that may be sleeping,
But who would be out at this hour I wondered. It was very early and still dark outside. Marty got up and went to open the door. There was no one there. With a puzzled look on his face he returned to his computer. A little while later I looked up just in time to see my ink pen falling back into my pen jar with a loud noise.Nothing was touching my desk at the time, and no one had used a pen that morning. I asked Marty if he had seen it, but he had only heard the noise it made. Right after this a perfume we had never smelled before filled the room to a point that it made both our eyes start burning. As usual, we brush it off and continue what we're doing.Later that day, with the events of the morning all but forgotten I went into our bed room to get something and I saw our TV was on and it was running through the channels. Pausing occasionally for a few seconds then continuing. I called Marty and the kids to see this, we assumed the circuit board was messing up so we turned it off and forgot about it. That night Marty and I went to bed, we decided to watch some TV before falling asleep. We watched as the volume indicator came up on the screen and very slowly it began to go up, the speed increased as the volume did. It zipped through the last five icons, the volume was now on high! Marty got out of bed and fixed the TV. Just as he got back into bed the channels began to scroll again. He got back up to fix this and our TV was fine the rest of the night...just strange.
