Yesterday, my son Chris came into the Sun room where the rest of the family was. He told us that he had been laying back on his bed watching TV when, from out of no where a pencil landed on his leg and rolled off. There are no pencils in that room due to the grand kids. And there are no shelves that a pencil could have fallen from. We all discussed how strange this was, then pretty much forgot about it.
Later that evening, Marty and I curled up in the bed to watch some TV before falling asleep. All of a sudden our TV started randomly running through the channels. Marty adjusted this and it stopped. A little while later, the volume started scrolling up until it was on high. He turned it down only to have it do this two more times. Then the channels went back to scrolling again. We finally gave up and went to sleep.
Then just tonight I watched my daughter in law turn the TV in the Sun room off twice before it would stay off. I don't know what has started happening to the TVs around here. If it were the same TV all the time I could blame it on a faulty TV. But when it's two TVs in two separate rooms, it gets sorta strange.
When things like this happen, we try to push it to the back of our mind and just go about our day. We are aware that discussing this can give this "thing" energy and power. We have become aces at giving each other those "knowing glances" with no words needed.
